I’m Jan Miller, owner and designer. I’ll be providing you information through this blog and regular newsletters regarding our exciting new products. I and my associates will share with you stories of how our business began and what has inspired our mission to provide well made unique (non-plastic) coordinated clothing and accessories for the modern woman, her daughter and her doll. You’ll hear from my talented website development team of Melody Hansen of Sublime Artistry and Michelle McNulty, Marketing Consultant, as they share with you the challenging and exciting process from concept to creation that turned my dream into reality. We’re looking forward to a promising year. Please join us in this journey. You will be able to comment on what we say and send us questions. We will, however, review all comments before they go live and will not post any that are inappropriate or offensive. We may also edit comments from time to time. Please understand that comments posted do not represent the opinions of the company. Please stop by often to check us out. We’ll be introducing new products soon, entertaining you occasionally with our stories, and asking for your suggestions.

I’ve been sewing and designing for many years while raising 2 daughters and earning a living as an advertising manager, customer service manager, and Home Decor Specialist. Throughout this time I’ve had a passion for fashion and love of textiles which has led me to create stylish and comfortable products for young mothers that match their daughters and their popular new 18” American Girl dolls.

Prior to the launch of this site I did custom sewing and alterations as well as custom design of many products for clients, my daughters, and friends. I gradually began to focus on my designs for clients and it was through this growing interest in my products that inspired me to expand my market via the internet website you see today. Each and every product was designed with great thought and deliberation regarding the colors used, the fabric chosen, and the quality standards established. I’m constantly looking for fresh new ideas for products to offer. For example, many of my products came from an impromptu brainstorming session following a fun photo shoot last summer. We took our group of children and mothers to a beautiful nearby park and stream in Northern Colorado. There we had tons of fun because the girls loved their comfortable skirts and all the kids found it extremely difficult to resist “plunking the water” and digging their toes in the sand. We returned home parched and while sitting around drinking our cool beverages, we learned from our mothers and daughters that we should consider making matching mother/daughter aprons and matching mother/daughter/doll clothes. Because I believe in listening to suggestions, we added these products to our line. Your suggestions are also welcome. Tell us what you’d like to see. Tell us what you can’t find anywhere else. We’ll listen and perhaps be able to accommodate your needs. Fill free to ask any questions you may have.
